’ do not go gentle into that good night ’ your grandmother had preferred poetry to storybooks when she tucked you in at night – what is the use of happy ever after when you already know it’s a LIE? ‘ rage, rage against the dying of the light ’ she had declared, sat at the bottom of your bed with the promise to stay until you were safe from the m o n s t e r s. you care little for poetry && the thousand different ways to say you’re sad or lonely when no words are needed at all ;; you never change your mind but you never forget the short lines. you use the anger that seems to have settled in your bones && you RAGE – you rage until you die && you never go gentle into the good night.
